July 15, 2019 - Representatives from the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society were busy this past weekend at shows and racetracks.
Debi O’Brien-Moran capably oversees our Drive With Us program which was at Grand River Raceway on Friday evening and at Mohawk the following night giving fans the chance to sit behind one of our great harness horses for a trip around the racetrack. In addition, OSAS ambassador, Ruff Me Up, greeted fans at the front door at the Campbellville track.
Also on Saturday night, at the Meadowlands, OSAS’s partner in the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge, Captain Crunch, raced a huge mile in the Meadowlands Pace final and was just caught at the wire after setting the pace. He was fourth, less than a half length from the winner. Please remember to vote daily for Team Plesac, Captain Crunch and OSAS through this link.
Yesterday OSAS’s Sheila Jopling and her horse Mojo competed at the Kubota Trilogy Combined Test Show at Small Victory Farm. As the only Standardbred in the show, he represented our breed well with two seconds and a fifth. In addition, Emma Christoforou showed OSAS ambassador The Painted Pony at the Standardbred Showcase Summer Classic show and had 12 wins, two seconds and a third.
