August 9, 2019 - OSAS was very pleased to be a part of Grand River Raceway’s record setting Industry Day this past Monday. The day saw great action on the racetrack but what is even more impressive, is the handle of $488,696 was an all time Industry Day record, bettering the previous record of $481,239 set three years ago.
It was the 29th edition of the very popular race day anchored by the track’s signature races, the Battle of Waterloo for rookie pacing colts and the Battle of the Belles for their female counterparts.
The former event was captured by Sports Obsession for co-owner Carl Jamieson whose son Jody was at the controls. It was the fifth Battle victory for Carl and fourth for Jody.
The Belles event went to Karma Seelster for the father and son duo of Doug (driver) and Gregg (trainer) McNair. The talented filly is owned by the legendary hall of fame driver Keith Waples, his wife Eileen and daughter Karen Hauver.
