OSAS’s long time ambassador, The Painted Pony and the multi-talented Emma Christoforou, who works tirelessly as a volunteer on OSAS's behalf, proudly acted as outriders on Friday night (May 27) on The Raceway at Western Fair’s signature race card.
Emma is following in the footsteps of her proud mother, Joanne Colville, who guides OSAS daily in addition to serving as the outrider at Mohawk.
The Friday race card was the most prestigious of the year at Western Fair as they welcomed back the Camluck Classic (after a two year Covid hiatus), Ontario Sires Stakes races, the City of London finals and much more.
The Painted Pony is a 17 year-old trotter who always attracts attention for his unique colouring for a Standardbred. He was one of four OSAS ambassadors featured in the note cards produced by OSAS to commemorate our 25th anniversary in 2021. They were painted by noted equine artist Michelle Hogan.
Emma and Pony have captured many ribbons over the years and their unique partnership was appreciated by the patrons and horse people at the races in London.
