Horatio, one of those very fortunate horses to have spent his entire racing career with the same trainer and owners, is the newest member of OSAS.
A 14 year-old gelding by Village Barrister, Horatio was bred by Larry Walker and long time partner Wayne Murakami. Walker’s daughter Megan was also part of the horse’s ownership during his racing career.
Horatio raced from age two through nine making a total of 211 starts and earned $132,000. He also competed in a pair of Racing Under Saddle events.
The Walker family go way back with Horatio’s family. His dam, Whos On First, is a half-sister to $474,000 winner Lois And Clark who was raced by Larry for several years. The second dam, Armbro Lois, was also raced by Larry in the mid 1990s before being retired to the broodmare ranks.
