This past weekend saw the Canadian Cowgirls Precision Team perform at the well known Breyerfest at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Among the competitors was the Standardbred horse Masseno and his rider Jamie Drew.
Masseno, who is now known as Bugsy, was adopted from OSAS by Jamie and her family in early 2021. Lightly raced, with four lifetime starts, Masseno was trained by Julie Walker who bred the gelding by Muscle Mass with her dad Paul.
Masseno is the second foal from Tomorrows Dream whose dam is O’Brien Award winner Mombasa who Paul trained to earnings over $400,000 for Eileen and Bill Stuart. Mombasa’s last foal was Tomorrows Dream, while her first was another O’Brien winner Filly At Bigs.
