OSAS recently welcomed two new Standardbreds to the program including one who was an absolute iron horse on Ontario’s B circuit.
Stoney Durkin raced from ages two through 12 at tracks across the province and earned over $260,000 in the process. He had a total of 330 lifetime starts. The gelding has just stepped away from life at the track and will be given some time to decompress.
Jazzie Crombie has also recently been added. The daughter of Lost Privilege faced the gate 133 times in her career. Her maternal family includes some royalty as her third dam is a sister to the great Armbro Feather, a winner of more than $1.4 million during her impressive racing career.
Both Stoney Durkin and Jazzie Crombie are 12 year-olds and in fact were born just four days apart in May of 2009.
